Portugal shirt design process

As we get closer to the World Cup, I was inspired to create a design to represent the Portuguese National Team, and honoring the g.o.a.t. Ronaldo in what could be his last WC appearance.

Below is a peek into my process of the design for “Futebol Português.”

Building out design elements in illustrator. It’s easy to get lost in the creative process.

Decided on two different front designs for the shirt. One with a single Portugal badge (w/ goat) on the chest, the other with a kit inspired design that has Fixture across the chest below the badge and goat logo.

Shirts are available in white, ivory, and chalky mint.
